This summer, in place of the US Junior Women’s Singlehanded/Doublehanded Championships, US Sailing is running a series of seven regional
junior women’s clinics.
These unique, all girls regional clinic series provides junior sailors with a chance to build their skills in an all-female environment and foster friendships for a lifetime!
The three-day clinic will be comprised of group presentations, on the water drills and practice racing. US Sailing Coaches are provided to lead training and coach all competitors to enhance the experience, sailing skills, and competitive sportsmanship of the group.
The event will be run June 29-July 1 at Old Dominion University and will be open to sailors from: PA, MD, DE, DC, VA, NC, NJ. Classes of boats to include: ILCA 4 (4.7), ILCA 6 (Radial), Club 420 (with trapeze and spinnaker) and 29er.
Participants must have reached their 13th birthday but not their 19th in calendar year. Participants must bring their own boats and provide their own housing. Please pass this info on to any interested parties and encourage your women’s sailors to attend. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the water this summer!
