Winter Sailing Program

Winter Sailing Program

HYC is hosting a Frostbite season for any juniors interested in keeping up with their racing skills during the winter. This program is open to both juniors of HYC members and juniors of nonmembers in our Optis, RS Fevas, and c420s. Juniors MUST have racing experience and either a dry suit or wet suit. Junior Frostbiting occurs on various Saturdays and Sundays from November to the end of February. To keep cost low, parents will be running the season; though we will have some coaching clinics throughout the winter if you are seeking coached sessions. Cost is $5 for members and junior members and $10 for nonmembers. Become a Junior Member today!

You must register before attending.

We will assess the combination of wind, air and water temperature each day to make sure it is safe enough for the juniors to go out in.  Dry suits or proper wet suits may be required depending upon conditions.  This will be announced well in advance.
