6th Annual HYC Pig Pickin'
Saturday, July 3
 Please bring the family for an enjoyable summer
afternoon at HYC. A pig will be roasted on the premises by some of HYC's finest member-chefs. The menu will include:
Pig Roast
Chicken Wings
Baked Beans
Cole Slaw
Corn on the Cob
Watermelon
Food will be served at 6 PM
Music begins at 7 PM

Children's Fun Festival
Saturday, July 3
HYC
will host a Children's Fun Festival all day on July 3 in conjunction
with the Virginia State Championship Junior Regatta and Pig Pickin' .There will be a championship Crab Derby
with prizes for the fastest crabs, family canoe trips, hourly team
races (3-legged race, sack race), a fun tug of war, and a bubble
station for the little ones. Picnic lunches will be available
from the club, and kids' activities during the Pig Pickin' will make this a full "day at the
club" for all families. Bring the kids or grandkids and a
blanket or chairs!
PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. If you can help out anytime that day,
please let us know. Call Anne at HYC at 722-0711 to sign up,
and tell us when you can help.

Virginia
State Championship Junior Regatta
HYC
will host the Virginia State Championship Junior Regatta this year
July 3 - 4. Participating classes will be Optimists, 420s, and Laser
Radials and this will be the first year when a new perpetual trophy
will be awarded. The event carries 1.5 x high point scoring
where entrants will come from the whole Chesapeake Bay area.
This will be the biggest junior event in Hampton Roads in 2010.

Bring a Prospective Member to your Club!
The Third Friday of each month, HYC
will provide a $20 Credit Certificate to any prospective member a
current member brings to our Happy Hour.

Our Most
Successful Membership Promotion is Back!!
It's simple! Starting in May
2010, sponsor a new member (as the primary sponsor) and receive HYC
transferable credits toward food and drink in the Commodores Room or
Dockside Lounge. Sponsor more than one new member and see the
rewards double!
As a current member of HYC you will receive:
$250 for the first member
$500 for the second member
The new member's application must be received by the Board no later than
