What People Say About Our Club
As a legacy member, Hampton Yacht Club has always held a very special place in my heart.I remember walking the docks here at a very young age, holding my grandfather’s hand. Now I have the privilege of watching my father do the same with my young son!The people who have sustained this club for so many years are not just members, but truly adherents to the club’s yachting mission, and they have always supported the club with such evident passion.Over the more than 100 years of its history, the club remains the perfect fit for our extended family that enjoys being near, on or in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.I can’t imagine any club, anywhere that provides the level of amenities, hospitality, service and friendship that this club continues to present for its members and visitors.I am confident my son will be able to say the same in 40 years!
Between all the various boating and shoreside activities there is always something to do at HYC. Indeed a colleague of mine was in town and, after enjoying a boat ride and cocktails in the lounge, she remarked “Dave, this is a lifestyle better than most people hope to attain once retired!”
